"To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right." # Confucius

ImageFor better or for worse, when we were born we got involved with a family. Maybe ours looked like the Cleavers, the Huxtables, the Bunkers, or the Osbournes - regardless of the circumstances, our families are intricately involved in the shaping of our lives.

Coaching To Vision provides an opportunity to explore what is available when we relate to and treasure members of our families - not as characters in an already determined story, but as irreplaceable individuals who bring unique richness to our lives. You'll discover entirely new possibilities for who you are for your family and who your family is for you.

Some questions throughout Family Coaching are:

  • How close are your family members now?
  • What do you want your family to do together?
  • How do you want to improve family happiness?
  • What would empower all of you?

Do you have:

  • Difficulties with your children
  • Difficulties with your parents
  • Working against each other, and no one "wins"
  • Little things escalate into larger problems "He/she won't listen to me"!
  • Too many fights, arguments, conflicts
  • Majority of family members that are unhappy

All families have conflict. It's the nature of people living in close proximity. But when normal conflicts turn into daily shouting matches, family members begin hurting each other emotionally (and sometimes physically), and a feeling of anger permeates the household, it's time to do something about It. Blended families in which one or both parents bring to the marriage children from previous relationships present their own unique dynamics. Let's face it. It isn't always the Brady Bunch. But there is help.

What is Family Coaching and what is unique about a Family Coach?
This coaching is a means of supporting families to create a "purposeful" family. This is a family focused on values based living, direct communication, empowerment of all relationships in the family and experiencing joy in day to day living together. Family coaching opens possibilities for the family rather than just the individual.

Family Coaching focuses on accelerating a families' movement towards a unified vision or goal. A Family Coach will also assist in establishing the groundwork by which the family successfully manages inevitable breakdowns as they occur without throwing the family into a fear based crisis and downward spiral.

  • Shared common values and mutual respect
  • Conflict resolution practices
  • Establish practices to achieve positive change and on-going results
  • Tolerance of individuality within the family relationship

Helping the Family Team Win By:

  • Identifying the “problem”
  • Improving communication skills
